La photographie devient créative quand elle s’éloigne du procédé purement reproductif. Avec une pose longue qui étire le sujet, mélange les textures, les couleurs et les fait se fondre, on s’expose à une part de hasard mais aussi à la possibilité de réellement tracer, ou peindre avec la lumière et les ombres.
Cette recherche devient alors un exercice d’anticipation sur ce que deviendra le cliché en fonction des mouvements de l’appareil. Le résultat devient pictural comme un dessin ou une peinture. Le piège à éviter est de se contenter du pur hasard. Même quand il est inclus dans le processus créatif, on gagne en qualité quand un choix de prise de vue ou de tri s’ajoute à l’aléatoire.
Dans cette série, la colorisation des sujets prédominants rajoute une sensation de volume, de distance entre l’avant et le second plan.
Photography becomes creative when it moves away from the purely reproductive process. With a long exposure that stretches the subject, makes the textures them mix and blend, we expose ourselves to a part of chance but also to the possibility of really drawing, or painting with light and shadows.
This research then becomes an exercise in anticipation of what will become of the shot depending on the movements of the camera. The result becomes pictorial like a drawing or a painting. The trap to avoid is to be content with pure chance. Even when it’s included in the creative process, one gains in quality when a choice of shooting or sorting is added to the random.
